Constitution of the West Bradford Volunteer Firemen's
Relief Association
The West Bradford Firemen's Relief Association is an unincorporated association formed pursuant to Act 84 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (the "Volunteer Firefighters' Relief Association Act: 53 P.S. 8501 et. seq.). The West Bradford Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association's principal place of business is 1305 West Strasburg Road, West Chester Pa 19382 in West Bradford Township, Chester County. The primary purpose of the West Bradford Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association is to afford financial protection to volunteer firefighters against the consequences of misfortune suffered as a result of their participation in the fire service. The West Bradford Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association may serve other purposes as set forth in Act 84 of 1968 (The Act of June 11, 1968, as amended, 53 P.S. 8501 et. seq.) provided only that adequate provisions be first made to serve its primary purpose. The principal affiliation shall be with the West Bradford Fire Company and its members, including fire police unit, rescue squad or other like organization affiliated with the fire company. The West Bradford Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association shall be governed by bylaws properly established for the purpose of providing a format for organization and operation. Albeit affiliated with the West Bradford Fire Company it is a separate legal entity and the West Bradford Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association records shall not be incorporated with those of the fire company.
